Who we are: WorkBlock ("we," "us," "our").

What WorkBlock does

WorkBlock helps you run focused sessions, track minutes, and—if you choose—limit access to distracting apps during a session.

Information we collect

You provide:

• Profile details (e.g., name).

• Preferences from onboarding (e.g., daily goal, default session length, routine steps).

• Support messages or feedback.

Collected automatically:

• Basic device data (model, OS version, app version, locale, time zone, crash logs).

• Usage events (starting/ending sessions, settings toggles) to improve reliability.

Optional permissions & data:

• Notifications: to remind you of blocks and session results.

• Family Controls / Screen Time APIs (Apple): if you enable "Blocked Apps," WorkBlock requests Apple's Family Controls authorization to restrict selected apps during a session. We do not read your app content or usage across other apps. We store only your chosen block list and session state.

• iCloud (if enabled by you): to sync your settings/history across devices.

We do not sell personal data. We do not use third-party targeted advertising SDKs.

How we use information

Provide core features (timers, streaks, goals, blocked apps).

• Show analytics you request (daily/weekly stats).

• Maintain security, prevent abuse, and fix bugs.

• Communicate essential updates and respond to support.

Data retention

Session history and preferences persist until you delete them in Settings → Danger Zone or delete your account.

• Diagnostics/crash logs follow platform retention (typically 90–365 days).

• We keep support emails as required for records and compliance.

Your rights & choices

• Permissions: enable/disable Notifications and Family Controls in iOS Settings at any time.

• Access/Deletion: request a copy or deletion of your data via contact@workblock.vip. In-app, you can clear history or delete your account (which removes profile, sessions, and settings from our services).

• Opt-out of emails: unsubscribe links are included in any non-transactional messages.

• GDPR/CCPA: you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing. We do not "sell" personal information as defined by CCPA.

Children

WorkBlock is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your region). Do not use the app if you are below that age.

Security

WorkBlock stores your data locally on your device and does not send it to our servers. Session history, settings, and blocklists remain on-device and are protected by the security features of your device (e.g., passcode, Face/Touch ID, and the encrypted file system). We do not sell, share, or transmit this data to third parties. If you choose to back up your device (e.g., iCloud or local backups), your data may be included in those backups and is then protected by the backup provider’s safeguards. For additional protection, we minimize data collection and only keep what’s necessary for the app to function.

Changes

We'll update this policy as needed. The "Effective date" will always reflect the latest version.
